other species, OPTI® grinds and joints with the same abrasives that would

Long the standard of HSS tool steels, M 2 is the steel of choice for the majority of woodworking applications. |
| WKW AKM - WKW’s AKM knife stock is a special tool steel that is well suited to a wide variety of applications. Very popular as a substitute for M 2, AKM grinds and joints similar to M 2 with slightly shorter run times. For shorter or medium length runs of mouldings, the cost savings of AKM make sense. |
