surface at the cutting edge. Used on long runs of hard woods as well as in
other species, OPTI® grinds and joints with the same abrasives that would

| WKW M2 (High Speed Steel) - WKW’s M 2 High Speed Steel is a Molybdenum high speed steel (similar to M 3 or M 4 offered by others) and offers ease of grindability, good edge life, and long run times in all species. Long the standard of HSS tool steels, M 2 is the steel of choice for the majority of woodworking applications. |
| WKW AKM - WKW’s AKM knife stock is a special tool steel that is well suited to a wide variety of applications. Very popular as a substitute for M 2, AKM grinds and joints similar to M 2 with slightly shorter run times. For shorter or medium length runs of mouldings, the cost savings of AKM make sense. |
| WKW D2 Karbo-Krome - WKW’s D 2 or Karbo Krome® is an economic solution to either short runs or mouldings in materials with higher moisture contents. |
